Sun makes me smile...

No time to post today as I have been busy organising the Blanket mail out for this month and working hard on our next issue... it's looking so good! (if I do say so myself!)

So here's a pretty picture of a flower instead to celebrate the fact that the sun shone in Manchester today (and after four months of no sun it made me very happy!)

Free at last!

I just had to share this with you...
The other day I was walking along the canals in my new city of Manchester and I came across a stuffed Polar Bear floating down the canal.
He looked a little worse for wear - missing an arm, terribly dirty and of course floating down the canal and I wondered what life this little bear had lead. And why was he thrown into the canal? Was it because he was broken? Or had his owner just outgrown him?

I couldn't help but feel that his expression said it all
"I'm free!"

Good luck with your journey little bear!

Not a pretty face... 2

You might have seen in the latest edition of Blanket Magazine the photo story 'Not a Pretty Face' that my husband, John and I, completed back in 2004. Well while John has left to go to the UK before me we decided to start another edition.
Each day I have taken a photo in Australia while he takes a photo in the UK. My photos are basically taken around my parents house as I am staying with them before I leave for the UK. Not very exciting I know but it's challenging to try and come up with a good photo.
John on the other hand is making me very jealous with all his photos of London! It's only fair really as last time it was me who was traveling around Cuba while he was in Melbourne.
